Statistics on RSS Feeds
How convenient - thanks to the marketingstudies.net website and their great links on RSS Feed statistics, I've got reliable stats from Adage on RSS Feeds and Internet demographic information from their 2006 Internet Marketing Fact Pack. If you're looking to learn about RSS, the RSS on RSS from marketingstudies.net is the best one to subscribe to. They also offer an email subscription to the latest RSS news.
Since 63% of product marketers are using RSS Feeds now, and over 80% of broadband users use the Internet to search for news and product information - and over 68% do personal research daily - seems like RSS Feeds are a bandwagon that all Internet Marketers should jump on!
Reading through Adage's statistics - I find it funny that 1/2 the people that get information from RSS Feeds don't even know that that's how they're getting the information (most likely from Yahoo and Google's integrated readers). There's a lot to learn on RSS Feeds. If you need to get started, check out RSS Diary newsletter.
I'll be throwing in RSS stats into my search engine that's created just to search websites with statistics. Adage had a datacenter on their website so I'll be sure to collect some information from them. I've got a lot to learn so I better start reading!
